The Higher National School of Biotechnology (ENSB) is a young and new engineering school which hosted the first promotion in 2014-2015, it is the only one that exists in Algeria. ENSB trains engineers in different specialties and applications of biotechnology: biotech and health, biotech and environment, microbial biotech, plant biotech, and pharmaceutical biotech. it is a dual-diploma school, it delivers the engineering degree and the master's degree related to the specialty. the first class of engineers graduated in 2019. ENSB engineers leave ENSB and are operational in different fields which allow them to be recruited easily by different socio-economic sectors
our school has 2 research laboratories approved by the Algerian ministry of higher education and research and pedagogy laboratories . PhD students and researchers are working in Many research projects around biotechnology in different specialties mentioned above
the school receives every year the budgets from the algerian ministry of higher education aand research for the operation of pedagogy and for research and supervision of PhD students
ENSB has technological halls with installation of pilots which would require an improvement of certain materials and accessories allowing it to develop new approaches in the biotechnology fields .....our school has 2 national laboratories research in biotechnology and in bio engineering , 11 research teams work on many topics in different fields of biotechnology. it has a biotech incubator ''IncuBiotech'' wich is a structure that welcomes and supports students with innovative ideas that could be developed into a start-up and then could build their own microentreprises and their own compagnies later , with the financial help from Algerian government
recently our institution has officially set up an entrepreneurship development office to help students set up and start their own businesses. Our ministry has also authorized research labs to integrate these microenterprises into their research programs.
recently our institution installed the university business liaison office and also the technology and innovation support center
These two structures support the engineers in the realization and concretization of their innovative projects, whether startups or microenterprises
