Specializing in the Greek legal system, this degree is fully approved and equivalent to a law degree obtained in the Hellenic Republic.

The School of Law at EUC holds the proud distinction of being the first autonomous law school in the country. Following DOATAP’s approval of the EUC LLB’s equivalence to Greek law degrees, holders of a degree from the EUC School of Law can apply for registration in the Greek Bar Association. Through the Erasmus exchange program, students can fulfill part of the curriculum within law departments of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, the Democritus University of Thrace, the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and the Panteion University.

Students participate in organized visits to European legal bodies and attend courses at the International Institute of Human Rights. Our academic program will equip you the outstanding research, reasoning and critical thinking skills that are necessary to achieve required practical training with law firms and to pass relevant Greek bar examinations and the Cyprus Bar Examination.

  *Proof of English language   proficiency : Knowledge of the English language is not a requirement for admission. At European University Cyprus, applicants whose native language is not English take the university’s English Placement Test (EPT) upon arrival at the university to indicate their English level and be placed in appropriate courses. Applicants who have passed either the TOEFL examination with a minimum score of 550 (213 computer-based, 79 Internet-based), English IGCSE with grade ‘C’ or above, or IELTS with a score of 6. 5 or above are exempted from the EPT. Other external exams may be accepted by the Language Center of the University as equivalent. Please consult with the Office of Admissions for more details. Candidates, whose English proficiency is not up to the university’s standard, have the opportunity to take additional English language classes according to their degree requirements.
