Department of Fine Art began its path as Department of Fine Arts Education under College of Education in 1974 and took on an aspect of art department of the College of Arts since 1994. Since the founding of general graduate school in 1999, it has been fostering professional manpower in art. A number of graduates have been thus far produced and are actively working as art teachers, artists, theorists, and critics around the country. They are significantly contributing to development of the local art culture as well as modern art culture at home and abroad.
