The Department of German Language & Literature was established in 1981 with an objective to cultivate competent members of the society with professional knowledge, cultured individuals who aim for valuable life, scholars studying German language and literature, and students with understanding of regions and cultures that use the German language in the era of internationalization. Our department’s lessons on the German language are designed around the ‘Common European Framework of Reference for Languages’, and focus on fostering students’ abilities to properly communicate in any situation based on their firm knowledge of basic German.
