LSPR Institute of Communication and Business, formerly known as The London School of Public Relations—Jakarta, was established in 1992. The institute offers Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral Degree programs in Communication and Business Studies and an e-learning program. LSPR is dedicated to producing highly skilled graduates in communication and business.
As Indonesia's leading institution in this field, LSPR Institute has created an interactive learning environment supported by a robust research framework. The institute acknowledges the importance of globalizing the next generation through collaborations with international organizations, institutions, and universities.
Since 2002, LSPR has been accredited as "Excellent" for its Undergraduate Program in Communication Studies. In 2015, it became the first private university to receive 'A' accreditation for its Postgraduate Program in Communication from Badan Akreditasi Nasional Perguruan Tinggi (BAN-PT), the National Accreditation Body of Higher Education in Indonesia.
In 2016, Indonesian Media recognized LSPR as the "Best Graduate School of Communication"; as of 2019, it has produced over 20,000 alumni.
LSPR's first campus, in Sudirman Park, was followed by the opening of a second campus in Bekasi in April 2019. In 2020, it officially became the LSPR Institute of Communication and Business with permission from Kementerian Riset, Teknologi dan Pendidikan Tinggi (The Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education). The transition to LSPR Institute of Communication and Business has allowed the organization to expand from one to two faculties, increasing its majors and concentrations in Communication and Business Studies.
