University information

Basic Requirements for International Applicants

For both the PHBS Shenzhen Campus master’s programs (Management, Finance, and Economics) and the PHBS–UK Campus Cross-Border master’s programs (Management and Finance):

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Be a non-Chinese citizen with a valid passport
  • Provide proof of English proficiency, with a minimum TOEFL score of 90 or IELTS score of 6.5 (waived for native English speakers) 

  • PHBS is home to 11 r esearch institutes that promote interdisciplinary collaboration in economics, finance, management, and related fields. These include, among others, the Sargent Institute of Quantitative Economics and Finance (SIQEF), the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and the Research Institute of Maritime Silk Road. Collectively, these institutes work to enrich academic research and drive future innovation.

    The PHBS Data Center serves as a core platform for research and teaching, providing access to leading databases and terminals such as Bloomberg, WIND, Eventus, Compustat, SRSP, and WRDS for real-time market analysis and empirical studies.

    Students benefit from the vibrant University Town environment, with access to extensive athletic and recreational facilities—including swimming pool s, track and field areas, stadium s,  and multiple sports courts—as well as the University Town Library, which offers rich digital and print resources in Chinese and other languages to support all academic pursuits.
