Students will gain familiarity with the most modern techniques and tools currently used by the members of research teams lecturing in the programme. These techniques and tools include the three-dimensional characterisation of reservoirs and the analogical and numerical modelling of geological processes. The rapid spread of these techniques makes them fundamental to the effective characterization of structural systems and sedimentary reservoirs.

Admission Requirements

In accordance with the provisions of article 16 of Royal Decree 1393/2007, of 29 October, in order to access the official university master's degrees, one must have one of the following qualifications:

  • Official Spanish university degree.
  • Degree issued by a higher education institution of the EHEA that entitles, in the country of issue, to access the official master's degree courses.
  • Title outside the EHEA. In this case, it is necessary either the homologation to an official Spanish university degree or the previous verification (without homologation) of the University of Barcelona that these studies correspond to a training equivalent to the official Spanish university degrees and that enable, in the country issuing the degree, to access official master's degree studies. Acceptance to an official master's degree does not in any case imply the homologation of the previous degree or recognition for purposes other than that of pursuing a master's degree.
