The “Medical Ethics and Bioethics” master’s degree, course: “Research in Ethics and Bioethics” is training in research in ethics applied to the field of health. This two-year training (M1 and M2) aims to train health professionals (or professionals involved in the field of health) in the ethics research process. It is part of the research and research training program of the ETRES laboratory, part of the Cordeliers Research Center (UMRS 1138).


Two routes are offered in Master 1 to adapt to the profiles of the students: a health route, dedicated to students in medicine, odontology, and pharmacy and a scientific route allowing students from other sectors to familiarize themselves with the professional practices of health thanks to specific lessons and two internships in hospitals or in research units.


This academic program is part of Université Paris Cité’s Graduate School Society & Health, linking master’s and doctoral courses to cutting-edge research laboratories. The Graduate School offers training in the humanities and social sciences, with a diversified research approach to studying the health system.
