The master, which is open to learning in M2, allows students to benefit from specialized courses in all social protection law. It has important specificities: 1° very extensive training in the field of social charges for companies and their relations with collection bodies (URSSAF); 2° original training on the implementation of complementary health, retirement and provident social protection in companies; 3° reinforced theoretical and practical lessons in the field of all social protection litigation: social security, civil, criminal, administrative, disciplinary, European; 4° original training concerning the legal relations of social protection institutions with health professionals and establishments.


The courses are taught by academics and high-level practitioners: magistrates, specialized lawyers, senior executives of social security, insurance and mutual insurance organizations. The director of the master has a unique profile because he is a professor at the University of Paris Descartes and at Sciences-Po Paris, after having been head of the treasury department of the Central Agency for Social Security Bodies (ACOSS), rapporteur for the chamber of the Court of Auditors, lawyer at the Paris Bar, specialized in social protection and health law.


Entry into Master 2 is subject to selection on the basis of results in M1 of this Master or equivalent Masters from other universities.

This academic program is part of Université Paris Cité’s Graduate School Society & Health, linking master’s and doctoral courses to cutting-edge research laboratories. The Graduate School offers training in the humanities and social sciences, with a diversified research approach to studying the health system.

Admission Requirements

In Master 1:
All students currently in their third year of Law or holding a degree equivalent to a bachelor's degree can apply for a complete master's course (1st and 2nd year = M1+M2) at Université Paris Cité, i.e. a course within a Master's degree.

In Master 2:
All students currently in M1 Law or having already validated an M1 Law or holding an equivalent diploma can apply for Master 2 at Université Paris Cité
