The M2 course " Ecology of conservation, ecological engineering: research and expertise - ECIRE " aims to train future scientists capable of using, optimizing and developing scientific knowledge and practices, including empirical ones, that can be mobilized for management and conservation of species, natural environments, their resources and ecosystem services. The tools used will be those of both practical ecology and theoretical ecology valid at the different levels of biodiversity (genes, population, communities, ecosystems). The lessons offered relate to in situ and ex situ conservation, the management of the biodiversity of species and natural and anthropized environments, ecological engineering, the interactions between man and biodiversity, the ecology of restoration.  We will thus speak within the framework of this course of impact studies, of the sequence "avoid, reduce and compensate". Students will work on the identification and evaluation of the consequences of human actions on ecological systems, on the development and implementation of indicators characterizing the state of an ecological system and modes of action to bring ecological system in a desired state.
