The Doctorate intends to train researchers, designers and professionals in possession of knowledge, skills, techniques and methods useful for responding to a labor market that requires professionalism capable of managing the processes of change within companies, representation actors, bilateral and private welfare systems, local communities and educational and training organisations.

Managing the complexity of transformations that have a global reach requires professionalism, methodologies and attitudes capable of generating innovation. Innovation understood not so much as a change in content, but as a transformation in the processes with which that content is created, especially with regard to people's training and learning methods. A need that today proves to be stronger and more visible in corporate contexts and in businesses, which from "economic organisations" aimed, also by express code definition, at the mere production or exchange of goods and services, are attempting to evolve in the direction of true and own learning organizations, i.e. organizations that equip themselves with devices and techniques to support learning processes, enhancing the human and economic resources present within them, in order to increase performance.
