The Doctorate of Business Administration (DBA) at EMLV Business School is a 3-year doctoral programme offering a unique blend of intellectual stimulation, advanced research, and professional achievement. The 3-year DBA programme is organized as follows.

  • The first year will be devoted to doctoral courses, including “Core Business Administration: Theory and Practice” and “Methods and Specialisations”. Students will have the opportunity to choose one of the specialisation lecture series.
  • The second and third years will focus on doctoral thesis writing under the supervision of a qualified research director and seminars to help you familiarize yourself with business research and applications.
  • In particular, you will learn about research dissemination and defend your DBA thesis at the end of the third year, which is the condition for being awarded the Doctorate in Business Administration

Admission Requirements

Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
  • Educational qualifications: Applicants must hold a Master’s degree in management or a related field (e.g., MBA, MA, MSc, or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
  • Professional experience: A minimum of five (05) years of professional management experience, acquired before or after completing the Master’s degree, is required.
  • English proficiency: Applicants must demonstrate advanced proficiency in academic English in reading and writing to effectively engage with the program’s curriculum and scholarly materials: IELTS 6.5 (or TOEIC/TOEFL/CEC equivalent) is required. Native English speakers, and those who have previously graduated from a programme taught in English, are exempted.
