The time to rethink how we live, work, and do business is now. As ecological challenges intensify and public awareness grows, companies are under pressure to operate responsibly. Businesses—powerful drivers of our economies and cultures—are increasingly accountable for the impact of their actions on the planet, society, and future generations.

That’s where you come in. Whether you’re a recent graduate or a young professional eager to pivot your career, this Master equips you to lead the sustainability transformation. Across every sector—from governments adapting infrastructure to corporations developing ethical supply chains—organisations are looking for leaders who can combine passion with expertise to create sustainable growth.

The Master of Science in International Sustainability Management gives you the interdisciplinary skills and knowledge to tackle these global challenges head-on. Grounded in both science and business, the programme covers a wide range of topics including:

  • Climate science and environmental systems

  • Economics, governance, and policy

  • Sustainable management and strategy

  • ESG reporting and accountability

  • Business ethics and responsible leadership

Taught over two years across ESCP’s Berlin and Paris campuses, the programme includes two terms in each city, a Master’s thesis in Term 5, and a global internship in Term 6 —offering both academic depth and real-world experience. Learning extends beyond the classroom through two consulting projects with partner companies, and an internship.

The classroom experience is enriched by a highly international student cohort, encouraging diverse perspectives on sustainability challenges and solutions. Through interactive discussions, teamwork, and cross-cultural collaboration, students develop the interpersonal and leadership skills needed to drive change in any organisation. Students will also take a foreign language course.

Beyond the classroom, students engage with Berlin’s and Paris’s thriving sustainability ecosystems, connecting with forward-thinking companies, NGOs, and policymakers. This exposure, along with ESCP’s network of student associations and partners, enables you to build strong professional connections and make a tangible impact—starting now.
