Be part of Singapore’s first-ever Master of Arts in Digital Humanities, a pioneering programme that bridges technology and human culture. Designed for both fresh graduates and mid-career professionals with academic backgrounds in humanities, arts and social sciences or science and technology, our programme offers a uniquely Asian perspective that prepares you to thrive in a global workforce that is both fast-changing and AI-driven.

As digitalisation reshapes public and private life, the job market is in urgent need for employees who can combine technological fluency with cultural and social intelligence. Our mission is to nurture graduates who are both technologically adept and deeply attuned to the ethical, social and cultural dimensions of digital innovation.

What is Digital Humanities?

Digital Humanities is a fast-growing interdisciplinary field that brings together the best of the “digital” and the “humanities” by

  • using digital tools and data-driven methods to address human and social concerns, and
  • tackling technological challenges through the lenses of the humanities, arts and social sciences.

In today’s workforce, either technical skills or humanistic training alone is no longer enough. Employers are seeking individuals who can pair expertise in AI, data analysis and digital innovation with empathy, creativity, critical thinking and ethical reasoning—qualities that drive the creation of technological products and services that better serve the needs of users, organisations and societies.

Who Should Apply?

This programme is for you if you are a graduate or a mid-career professional

  • trained in the humanities, arts and social sciences, and are looking to gain computational and technological skills to stay ahead in the workforce, or
  • trained in science and technology, and want to complement your technical skills with humanities and social science perspectives for the creation of socially conscious products and services, or
  • considering pursuing a Ph.D. in Digital Humanities.
