Admission Requirements

Prior study entry requirement You must have a completed postgraduate qualification from a recognised higher education institution in a relevant clinical field.
Hospital and professional training, certificates, etc are not acceptable in lieu of a higher education postgraduate qualification. Incomplete postgraduate studies are also not acceptable.

Professional registration entry requirement You must have current registration as a nurse (Division 1) without conditions with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.

Clinical practice entry requirements You must:
  • be currently working in an advanced nursing practice role
  • have a minimum of four years full-time (or equivalent) clinical practice experience as a registered nurse in the nominated speciality
  • have a minimum of two years full-time (or equivalent) experience (within the last six years) in an advanced nursing practice role in the nominated speciality
  • have the support of your Executive Director of Nursing (or equivalent).

Additional entry requirements You must provide with your online application:
  • a statement of service on an official letterhead confirming your clinical practice experience as a registered nurse in the nominated speciality
  • a completed Evidence of advanced practice nursing and course requirements form
  • a completed Executive Director of Nursing (or equivalent) support form
