The Raffles University Master of Design is designed to develop students’ knowledge and skills of deep understanding of the wide range of interdisciplinary studies of design. A designer’s job scope has expanded, leading the designers to take managerial and strategical roles that address the varied and long-term relationships among audiences, products and services, and the larger social and cultural contexts for design. Tomorrow’s designers should be cultivated with adaptability to tech, social change, empathy, communication skills, storytelling, observation, listening, psychology, human behaviour, and managing complexity.
The programme provides students with an insight of design-oriented education with the aims
To develop in depth skills in theoretical research and design exploratory through critical reflection.
To integrate and develop multi-disciplinary innovative design skills and technological knowledge to respond and to be a leader in design disciplines.
To build skills, knowledge, and practice to enter the expanding fields of professional design engagement by aiming to upgrade the design expertise.

Other equivalents/related qualifications to a Bachelor’s degree (MQF Level 6) recognised by the Malaysian Government.
