This major aims to further study classical Chinese literature from the Wei dynasty to the Song dynasty. Meanwhile, the students will have to expand their learning in Modern Literature, Taiwanese Classical Literature, and Overseas Chinese Literature, emphasizing Chinese Literal Philosophy and Philology. At the same time, students will be taught to adapt to modern society and enable students to meet the needs of the society after graduation, practical courses such as applied literature, journalism, mass communication theory, drama creation and performance, calligraphy, Chinese painters, classical poetry recitation teaching, dynamic web page, animation production, theme literature are offered.

Chinese research proposal. Chinese academic thesis or relevant publications. Applicants are required to provide an autobiography written in Chinese instead of English. Applicants should have basic Chinese skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing ability in Chinese. They are required to provide a Chinese proficiency certificate (TOCFL Level 3 or New HSK Level 5 or relevant Chinese language certificate), a hand-written autobiography in Chinese and a certificate of Chinese language classes for at least a year. All new students are REQUIRED to have a health check-up for university enrollment.
