The department is established to promote physics through teaching and research. The goals and philosophy of the department include: Cultivating physics talents to meet the needs of the country, taking into account theory and experiment, foundation and application; teaching the basic knowledge of physics and to teach the experiments of physics, so that students can thoroughly understand the essence of basic physics and lay the foundation of physics required for further study or work in society; and imparting advanced physics knowledge, guides students to engage in physics research, trains students' ability to think and research independently, and induces students' creative potential. After graduation, students can make significant contributions to society and human beings whether they are engaged in teaching or research.
