The interuniversity master's degree in “FOREST FIRES. SCIENCE AND INTEGRAL MANAGEMENT. Master FUEGO”, (WILDLAND FIRE. SCIENCE AND INTEGRATIVE MANAGEMENT MSc), is established as an official postgraduate training program, whose organizational and academic structure responds to what is stated in Royal Decree 822/2021 of September 28, by which The organization of official university education is established. Universities of: Lleida, León and Polytechnic of Valencia. We train specialist technicians in the field of forest fires.

If you are interested in learning to:

Predict the behavior of fire and its spread, based on knowledge of the physical factors that influence it, and interpret the meaning of fire in the forest ecosystem, recognizing its effects on its different elements.
Anticipate the evolution of the fire: critical places, places with the highest speed of spread, places with the longest flame length. In short, fire behavior analysis.
Calculate and simulate the spatial spread of a fire based on the boundary conditions of its problem and analyze the behavior of the fire, transferring its results to decision-making in real situations.
Interpret the mathematical models used by different disciplines; calculate through them the parameters that are required and assess the limitations that their use may present in the different real situations that can be used.
Design prevention and extinction strategies tailored to the reality of each geoecological system.
