The Master of Arts in Instructional Technology prepares professionals to address learning and performance problems by integrating technology into the design, development and evaluation of learning environments. The program is flexible and will appeal to professionals working in education or workplace training. This 30-credit-hour program may be completed in as little as two years of part-time study. You will learn from UA faculty credentialed in instructional technology who are well-versed in the topics and trends of the field. Choose from two strands: Technology for Teaching and Learning (ideal for individuals pursuing positions in P-12 schools, colleges and universities) AND Instructional Technology for the Workplace (ideal for individuals pursuing positions in instructional design and corporate training). All undergraduate majors are welcome to apply. This program does not lead to certification or licensure in K-12 education.

Admission to the MA degree program requires the following: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution AND Undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or a 3.0 average for the last 60 hours in a degree program, or a 3.0 or higher in a completed graduate degree program AND Minimum score of 300 on the GRE or 50th percentile on the MAT (An admissions test waiver will be considered if the applicant has at least 5 years of full-time, relevant work experience or has already completed a post-baccalaureate degree. Requests will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Please contact Dr. Andre Denham for the waiver.). Test scores are waived for Summer 2021 and Fall 2021 semester applications.
