School of Mechanical Engineering produces graduates who can meet the rapidly changing needs of industry which demand new skills. It has an ambience and specialized laboratories for Research and Development. Even undergraduate students get multiple opportunities to involve themselves in high-end research work enabling them to build skills beyond the curriculum. In addition to classes, the School organizes regular Visiting Lectures delivered by Industry Experts and arranges industrial visits for both faculty and students. The School is also actively engaged in organizing international and national level conferences.

Program Educational Objectives (PEO)


The M. Tech program in Mechanical Engineering aims to prepare the graduates with the following objectives:


PEO- I            Pursue a successful career in the field of Mechanical Engineering, contribute significantly to their profession in industry, research and academia or undertake entrepreneurial endeavours.


PEO- II          Continuously learn, engage and update themselves to carry out independent or collaborative research and handle constantly evolving technical and global challenges in their field of expertise.


PEO- III         Develop leadership skills and demonstrate professional, social and ethical responsibilities as an individual.


Eligibility B.E. or B.Tech. or equivalent Degree (e.g. AMIE, GRADE-IETE etc) in respective branches of Engineering and Technology with a First Class or equivalent CGPA.
