Employability

In today's dynamic and competitive world, preparing students for successful careers requires more than just academic excellence. Recognizing this, the Career Development Centre (CDC) at Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies (MRIIRS) has emerged as a beacon of holistic career development, nurturing students' skills and abilities beyond the confines of traditional education. With its multifaceted approach and innovative initiatives, CDC has become a cornerstone in shaping the future of students, both in engineering and non-engineering disciplines.

CDC's commitment to fostering comprehensive development is evident through its diverse array of programs and sessions. From career guidance and soft skills development to competitive exam preparation (like GATE, NET, JRF, etc.) and awareness about technological trends, CDC leaves no stone unturned in equipping students with the tools they need to thrive in the professional world.

One of CDC's flagship initiatives is its focus on soft skills and aptitude development. Understanding the pivotal role these skills play in students' transition from academia to industry, CDC delivers tailored training modules designed to enhance students' proficiency in areas such as aptitude, logical reasoning, and employability skills. This emphasis on holistic development has borne fruit, as evidenced by MRIIRS being honored with the prestigious National Employability Award 2023 by SHL, a testament to the institution's commitment to producing job-ready graduates.

Moreover, CDC goes beyond conventional career counseling by offering specialized crash courses and refresher programs to prepare students for the rigors of the job market. By providing targeted support to senior semester students through pre-employment crash courses, CDC ensures that students are well-prepared to excel in campus interviews and secure coveted positions in leading companies.

However, CDC's impact extends far beyond the confines of campus boundaries. Through its employability guides and employment helpdesk, CDC bridges the gap between academia and industry, offering students invaluable insights into recruitment patterns, interview preparation, and career planning. By facilitating access to expert advice and personalized guidance, CDC empowers students to navigate the complexities of the job market with confidence and poise.

Furthermore, CDC's mentorship program stands as a testament to its unwavering dedication to student success. By pairing students with mentors who guide them through every step of their career journey, from resume building to mock interviews, CDC ensures that students receive individualized support tailored to their unique needs. This hands-on approach has proven immensely beneficial, with hundreds of students from the School of Engineering benefiting from personalized guidance and support.

In addition to its student-centric initiatives, CDC also places a strong emphasis on capacity development and skills enhancement. Through initiatives focused on soft skills, language and communication skills, and life skills, CDC equips students with the tools they need to thrive in an increasingly competitive and interconnected world.
