Master of Information Technology (MIT) offers the knowledge, understanding and skills to solve real-world problems with cutting-edge technology. This course addresses the widespread uses and need for information technology (IT). Students will learn to create innovative IT solutions in their chosen area, in order to work in the industry at the highest levels. This course offers a wide range of areas, such as software engineering, mobile and distributed systems, project management and machine learning. In final semesters, students may undertake an Industry Experience program, working in a small team with industry mentors to develop entrepreneurial IT solutions; or conduct a supervised minor-thesis research project, investigating cutting-edge problems in IT. The MIT is accredited with the Australian Computer Society (ACS).
