The Master of Interpreting and Translation Studies is suitable for those who want to become qualified translators or interpreters; and those with advanced bilingual proficiency. This course offers skills in translation and interpreting in English and another language, with an understanding of both practice and theory. This course is endorsed at the (Certified Translator, Certified Advanced Translator, Certified Interpreter, Certified Specialist Interpreter (Legal), Certified Specialist Interpreter (Health), and Certified Conference Interpreter levels by the National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters (NAATI). Upon completion of this course, students will be able to conceptualize translation and interpreting studies as an academic discipline in its historical, cross-disciplinary and intercultural contexts. There are two specializations available in the course: Translation (offered for Chinese, French, German, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, and Spanish); and Interpreting and translation (offered for Chinese, French, German, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, and Spanish).
