The Beirut School of Translators and Interpreters aims to train high-level translators and interpreters whose primary language is Arabic. In keeping with Lebanon's cultural history and situation, it strives to promote a balanced Arabic-French-English trilingualism.

In addition, the School attempts to provide its undergraduate students with two qualities that are essential for translators and interpreters:

Learning to work, that is to say, to understand, to think and to express oneself
Acquire the notion of system: any fact - linguistic, economic, legal, religious, environmental, etc. - is only understandable when situated within its system; the translator or interpreter must be able to grasp how each society or culture organizes these facts in its own way.

Admission on file:
Remove the file and secure the following documents:

Registration form and commitments duly completed and signed
Two confidential letters of appreciation, from a science teacher and a non-science teacher in the final year
Photocopy of identity card or civil status extract
A passport-sized photo dated less than 3 months ago
Grades and rankings for second and first year classes
Baccalaureate results (if applicable)
Handwritten cover letter
Certificate of registration issued by the last school or university establishment attended
French language aptitude test registration number (having been classified in category A in the test)

Admission by competitive examination:

Create a file including the following documents:

Registration form
French language aptitude test registration number (having been classified in category A in the test)
Lebanese baccalaureate or equivalent
Recent civil status extract, family civil status extract after January 1st
A passport-sized photo dated less than three months ago
Extract from the school report for the last three years
