The Master of Arts in Child Study & Education (CSE) Program is a non-thesis Master’s program that qualifies graduates to teach from JK to Grade 6 in Ontario schools (both​ fields of study). This program is based at the historic Dr. Eric Jackman Institute of Child Study. Students will undertake practicum placements in U of T’s on-site Laboratory School where students benefit from working with teacher-researchers who also see themselves as learners. Student teachers spend approximately 600 hours practice teaching (kindergarten to grade 6 classrooms)  in Toronto public, Catholic, and independent schools.
