The Grainger College of Engineering offers a tradiaitonal doctoral program (requiring a master's degree for entry) and a direct doctoral program (no master's degree required). Both types of students will work with the Department of Aerospace Engineering's top-tier faculty on groundbreaking research and will support the education of the next generation of aerospace engineers by serving as a teaching assistant for at least one semester. Our graduates leave the program well-rounded and prepared to contribute to the field of aerospace engineering.

You must have been awarded (or are about to be awarded) a four-year bachelor's degree equivalent to that granted by the University of Illinois to be eligible for graduate programs at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. If your undergraduate degree is a three-year program, you are not eligible for graduate-level admissions consideration at the University of Illinois.
