We want you to become the best nurse you can be. That means helping you gain more than a registration. Here, you’ll think about your future – what does a career as a children’s nurse look like for you? And how can we help you get there?

As part of our diverse community, you’ll learn what it means to deliver safe and effective care. And this starts in our simulation suite. Mirroring a real-life children’s ward, you’ll receive patient handovers and face different scenarios. It’s also the perfect place to familiarise yourself with the equipment you’ll use on placement.

To help you gain experience, you’ll experience placements in different settings, from specialist wards to settings like schools or hospices. We’ll also give you the chance to do an elective placement and develop specialist knowledge with optional modules in areas like neonatal nursing and global health.

Quick to adapt and confident making decisions. These are just two reasons why employers hire our graduates. As you move into the final year of your degree, the focus will be on helping you move from student to newly registered nurse. You’ll leave us feeling ready to take on diverse challenges, whatever comes next.
