Pharmacists’ role within healthcare teams is more important than ever. At King’s, you’ll become an expert on medicines and the law, keeping people safe – and preventing harm and death connected to medication.

Our Pharmacy MPharm is a fully-accredited four-year pharmacy degree, based in the heart of London, that combines the study of pharmaceutical science with the practice of pharmacy. As experts in medicines, pharmacists are taking on increasingly important roles in modern healthcare teams, as well as enjoying exciting career options in diverse health settings, from hospitals and community pharmacy to working in GP practices, care homes and the pharmaceutical industry. Our course will allow you to join this profession, as the Master of Pharmacy (MPharm) is the only UK qualification that leads to professional registration as a pharmacist.

New standards from the Initial Education and Training for pharmacy standards were introduced by the General Pharmaceutical Council in 2021, which will enable all pharmacists to prescribe at the point of registration. Our programme was reaccredited for 6 years against the new standards in February 2025 with no conditions or recommendations.
