Loyola University Chicago’s Political Science Department offers dozens of courses each semester on various aspects of politics, including the institutions of American government; constitutional law; political systems in Africa, Asia, Europe and Latin America; foreign policy and international relations; and political theory, past and present.The department seeks to provide all students with an understanding of political processes at home and abroad; to prepare majors and minors for purposeful careers or for further graduate or professional study; and to challenge students to think critically about problems of justice in political life.
