Located in the heart of the Champagne region, the Reims Campus welcomes around 1,600 students each year, almost half of whom are international. It is housed in a seventeenth-century building in the centre of Reims, France’s “City of Coronations”, and opened formally in September 2010. Only a 50-minute train ride away from Paris, the city of Reims has a population of 180,000 inhabitants, and is one of France’s main university hubs. With numerous sports and cultural facilities within a short distance of the campus, the city provides a modern and stimulating environment in which students can flourish. Students taking this English-language programme explore North American affairs and transatlantic relations, with a comparative approach analysing political institutions, history, law, economics, sociology and the humanities. Courses offered on the campus include: “North American Environmental Philosophy (20th-21st centuries)”; “The Geographies of American Capitalism”; “United States Foreign Policy”; “The African-American Odyssey from Phyllis Weatley to #BlackLivesMatter”; “The Marketplace of Ideas: The US Supreme Court and Freedom of Expression”.
