As one of
the specialized scientific departments at the Faculty of Law, University of
Tobruk, the Department of Public Law seeks to prepare highly competent
graduates capable of keeping pace with scientific and technological
developments and the accompanying legislative evolution. The department also
aims to contribute to the university’s mission of disseminating knowledge and
promoting purposeful and original scientific research in the field of public
law.
Objectives
of the Department:
The
Department of Public Law aims to achieve the following objectives:
1.
Adopting advanced scientific methods and
programs to contribute to the preparation of specialized and qualified legal
cadres in the field of public law.
2.
Providing students with information, knowledge,
and skills in the field of public law specialization in a way that enables them
to contribute to community development and the improvement of the related
legislative system.
3.
Effectively contributing to the dissemination
and development of levels of legal knowledge and culture in society through
lectures, seminars, and workshops.
4.
Offering legal opinions in the fields of
administrative and constitutional law, commenting on administrative and
constitutional decisions and judgments, and providing legal advice to
interested parties.
5.
Encouraging faculty members to conduct
scientific research in the fields of public law, participate in scientific
conferences, and publish their research and articles in reputable scientific
journals.
