  • The Trauma Focused Practice specialisation in the Master of Counselling allows you to explore trauma-informed practice as a framework for understanding the impact of trauma, and investigate the various models and approaches to recognising and treating trauma, enabling you to better facilitate safety and wellbeing within your position.
  • Engage in case conceptualisation and the application of trauma informed practices for the physical, emotional and cultural safety of clients.
  • Learn how to recognise and assess a range of trauma symptoms and triggers utilising case studies. 
  • Understand more about the continuous discoveries in neuroscience and how this will shape the future of counselling interventions and inform your therapeutic interventions as a counsellor.
