The Master of Medicine (Advanced) (Genomics and Precision Medicine) aims to broaden knowledge and enhance clinical practice skills in the study areas of cancer genomics, ethical legal and counselling issues, and genomic therapeutics and precision medicine. This course is only open to applicants currently enrolled in the Master of Medicine (Genomics and Precision Medicine) degree. The Royal Australasian College of Physicians has approved the unit GMED5001 Genomics in Clinical Practice to fulfil the University genetics course requirement for advanced training in clinical genetics. With the increasing use of genomic technology in medical diagnosis, management and future treatment of disease, this course will provide the necessary skills to understand and integrate genomic medicine in current and future clinical practice.
