The Bachelor of Engineering Honours/Bachelor of Commerce is a combined undergraduate coursework degree that will give you extensive knowledge of your chosen engineering stream complemented by a strong grounding in business. You will gain technical, analytical and practical skills, understand the process of commercialisation and learn to manage innovative projects. This course is accredited by Engineers Australia and other major professional engineering institutions. Graduates may be eligible for accreditation as professional accountants with the CPA, ICAA; or as professional members of the Australian Human Resources Institute (AHRI). You will complete degree foundational core units in mathematics and computing, along with a suite of multidisciplinary project units. You will also complete stream core and specialist elective units in your chosen stream, and can choose to complete an optional specialisation. In your final year, you will complete an honours thesis in your chosen stream. Throughout your degree, you will undertake professional engagement activities as part of the Professional Engagement Program, including engineering work experience in the final year. Concurrently with the Bachelor of Engineering, you will complete Commerce degree core units along with a major from the Commerce disciplinary pool. You will also complete units from the Open Learning Environment and any elective units as needed to make up the requirements of the course.

A secondary education qualification such as the NSW Higher School Certificate (including national and international equivalents), OR approved higher education study, including approved preparation courses. This course has a Mathematics prerequisite. You are expected to have studied the following subjects in high school to succeed in this course: Mathematics Extension 1; Chemistry and / or Physics. Other assumed knowledge depends on majors or units of study chosen.
