Over the past two decades, it has grown from a highly specialized activity to an approachable subject that sparks global attention in areas of entertainment, business, engineering and health care. The Digital Media PhD program focuses on translational research in digital media within an experiential learning environment. It studies the application of digital media towards solving research problems in various disciplines including but not limited to engineering, education, cultural heritage, health or business. Acceptance for graduate study at Drexel University requires a four-year bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution in the United States or an equivalent international institution. Although admission requirements vary by program, regular acceptance typically requires a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 (B) for the last two years of undergraduate work. The average for any graduate work must be at least 3.0.
