About Université Côte d'Azur

Université Côte d'Azur is a large public scientific, cultural, and professional institution  which brings together 18 of the Côte d’Azur’s leading academic players around a historical university core.  Its fundamental missions are the higher education of students and professionals, excellence in research, and innovation for the benefit of all.

Since January 1, 2020, we have strived to build a 21st century French university based on new interactions between disciplines (multidisciplinarity and transdisciplinarity) and driven by dynamic collaborations that connect Education-Research-Innovation, as well as strong local, national, and international partnerships with the public and private sectors.

Among the top 9 research-intensive universities in France, with a strong international reputation, Université Côte d'Azur is committed to transformation and excellence, which it has achieved thanks to the Initiative of Excellence (IdEx) that was awarded in 2016 and made permanent in 2021, placing it among the top 9 research-intensive universities in France, with  a strong international reputation . Home to  the IA-Cluster « 3IA Côte d’Azur 2030", Université Côte d’Azur also created the French School of AI ( EFELIA Côte d'Azur ) in 2022, and established  Graduate Schools  (EUR). The university aims to be a major research-intensive university with both strong roots in our region and an international and European outlook, notably through the  European University "Ulysseus"  of which Université Côte d’Azur is a founding member.

Université Côte d'Azur has several campuses, mainly in Nice, Sophia Antipolis and Cannes but also widely distributed between Seyne-sur-Mer and Menton. Ideally located between the sea and the mountains, it offers a pleasant environment for its staff and students. Its location in the heart of Europe combined with easy access via the Nice Côte d'Azur International Airport makes it a gateway to the academic and scientific world.

Université Côte d'Azur directly employs more than 3,000 staff and enrolls more than 30,000 students each year.

Master of science: a high-quality, international and interdisciplinary offer

Aiming to prepare young generations for the professions of the future and provide solutions for the challenges we face, in 2018 Université Côte d’Azur developed a series of   international MSc programs , of which there are now 11.
These programs of excellence are fully taught in English and involve the participation of leading academics and practitioners. They are built around regional objectives  and prestigious international partnerships. These nationally-accredited MSc degree courses welcome students from around the world (more than 110 countries), a multiculturalism that is one of our strengths.

But high quality is only one of our criteria, in addition we have built our programs around values that reflect who we are.
