The objective of the Genetics and Development (GD) course is to enable students to acquire a high level of competence in the fields of genetics, molecular biology, cell biology and animal development. This knowledge will allow students to better understand the genetic, molecular and cellular mechanisms that control the establishment of higher eukaryotic organisms and that ensure the functioning of their immune system.
This course, from the Master of Life Sciences, is focused on mastering the fundamental principles for the initiation of cell and tissue morphogenesis.as well as their deregulations which can induce pathologies. In M1 and M2, disciplinary and optional lessons take place in the first semester so that students can complete 2 long internships in a research laboratory which will allow them to put into practice the knowledge acquired during their training.
The Genetics and Development course is distinguished by:
A strong disciplinary teaching in genetics and development (6 obligatory teaching units over the two years of training)
The choice of optional teaching units on themes complementary to the specificity of the course (immunology, neurobiology, physiopathology, ageing, etc.)
