The M1 Computer Biology-Biology Platform Engineer is a solid and interdisciplinary training, at the interface of biology and computer science, equipping students with essential skills to propose innovative solutions in order to deal with related projects. with bioinformatics and platforms in biology.

The dual skills provided by the M1 BI-IPFB meets the current needs of recruiters and constitutes the essential basis for the two Master 2 courses, M2 BI and M2 IPFB.
The Biology-Computer science course aims to deepen knowledge in bioinformatics, programming, methodology, data processing, acquired at the end of an M1. It is one of the few courses to cover the three main areas of bioinformatics: Bioinformatics of Omics (genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics etc.), Structural Bioinformatics, Systemic Bioinformatics. Its original pedagogical approach by "projects" reinforces the practical skills of students, highly appreciated by professionals.

At the M2 level, skills are gradually reinforced through tutored projects carried out collectively or individually. This makes it possible to put the student in a situation faced with a problem to be solved. These projects will include technical aspects (programming of tools) but will have to highlight the organizational capacities (project management, prioritization and distribution of tasks), analysis and synthesis of the students.

In M2, the orientation becomes more specialized on advanced biological issues (genomic bioinformatics, structural bioinformatics, systems biology and proteomics) with significant methodological reinforcement.
