There is a focus on the applied social science knowledge base of social work and on the development of subject knowledge, skills and values. We address the College of Social Work's Professional Capabilities Framework (PCF) throughout the course, as well as the Standards of Proficiency for Social Workers as set by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
