This course is designed to respond to a growing public health agenda – promoting physical activity and other health-enhancing lifestyle behaviours to keep us healthy. You'll examine the science that underpins the causes, prevention and treatment of acute and chronic disease and injury, from acute sports injuries through to the management of long-term conditions. You'll learn in our specialist facilities which include labs that are accredited by the British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences (BASES), extensive sporting facilities, and a new research and teaching gym.
