The purpose of the Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Medicine program is to train highly qualified specialists in nuclear medicine at the junctions of nuclear physics and medicine, ready to work in cooperation with physicians, for the scientific, industrial and medical-clinical spheres. Provide training for students with the skills necessary to perform quality nuclear medicine procedures: radionuclide diagnostics and radionuclide therapy; radiopharmaceuticals; radiation safety of personnel and patients; radiation control of residential, medical and industrial premises. Upon completion of this educational program, students are expected to be able to apply theoretical knowledge and research methods in the field of nuclear medicine for the organization, establishment and maintenance of nuclear-physical medical facilities; to distinguish the main types of target devices used for the development of radioactive isotopes for nuclear medicine.
