Welcome to the Department of Allied Medical Sciences at Jordan University of Science and Technology. Our department offers a bachelor's degree across five distinct disciplines within allied medical sciences: Radiologic Technology, Optometry, Emergency Medical Services (EMS), Respiratory Therapy, and Anesthesia Technology.

The field of radiologic technology has experienced rapid and significant advancements in recent years, with cutting-edge techniques like MRI, CT scans, and nuclear medicine. For example, traditional surgeries have been replaced by minimally invasive procedures performed with endoscopic and radiological guidance. Optometry, or vision science, plays a critical role in eye care, offering essential exams and treatments for various visual impairments and eye conditions such as inflammation, retinal diseases, and strabismus. Meanwhile, EMS focuses on life-saving interventions, disaster management, and emergency patient care.

Our department is equipped with state-of-the-art labs and advanced equipment to provide hands-on training, supported by a highly qualified faculty from leading global institutions in the UK, USA, and Australia. Our curriculum is designed to be diverse and comprehensive, integrating theoretical knowledge with clinical and practical training. To ensure the excellence and competence of our graduates, students undergo extensive hands-on and clinical training in various hospitals as part of their academic program.
