This full-time, three-year Masters programme is designed for international students who are not eligible to apply via the HEE national recruitment process. This programme is designed to enable students to meet the requirements to sit the Royal College of Surgeons (RCS) Membership in Orthodontic (MOrth) examinations.

The programme aims to equip students with the skills to understand the principles of normal and abnormal facial growth, diagnose malocclusions, identify aetiological factors, develop appropriate treatment plans, appreciate the scope and limitations of orthodontic treatment, treat malocclusions to a high standard of outcome, and to be aware of the factors associated with stability of the result.

Students undertake modules to the value of 360 credits.

Year one consists of 6 compulsory modules (150 credits). Year two consists of 4 compulsory modules (120 credits) and a research dissertation (90 credits). Year three involves mainly clinical study and is not credit bearing.

Upon successful completion of 540 credits, you will be awarded a MClinDent in Orthodontics (Advanced Training).
