This postgraduate programme integrates the clinical, academic and research components of paediatric physiotherapy practice. You will focus on the management of paediatric patients with cardiorespiratory, neurological and musculoskeletal disorders. Flexibility in selection of modules means your particular interests can be accommodated.

You will benefit from the mentorship of recognised experts in paediatric physiotherapy. The MSc offers you the opportunity to extend your understanding of key areas in physiotherapy, including challenging the foundations of established but poorly justified treatments, developing and undertaking clinical research, and learning about new and emerging treatment options.

Students undertake modules to the value of 180 credits.

The programme consists of four compulsory modules (60 credits), four optional modules (60 credits), and the research dissertation (60 credits).

A Postgraduate Diploma (120 credits, full-time nine months, flexible study 2-5 years) is offered. Students take 75 credits of core modules and 45 credits of optional modules.

A Postgraduate Certificate (60 credits, part-time 12 months) is offered. Students take 60 credits of core modules.

Upon successful completion of 180 credits, you will be awarded a MSc in Physiotherapy Studies: Paediatrics. Upon successful completion of 120 credits, you will be awarded a PG Dip in Physiotherapy Studies: Paediatrics. Upon successful completion of 60 credits, you will be awarded a PG Cert in Physiotherapy Studies: Paediatrics.
