This full-time, three-year Master's programme provides intensive knowledge of the basic principles of periodontal diseases, the management of advanced periodontal cases and the surgical components of implant dentistry. This programme satisfies the training requirements to sit for the Membership in Periodontics (M Perio) or Membership in Restorative Dentistry (MRD) - Periodontology examination.

The programme offers training to achieve a specialist level in periodontology.  Students will attend seminars and tutorials, whilst spending considerable clinical time in the management and treatment of patients with a variety of periodontal and implant dentistry needs.  Training in research within the field of periodontology is also part of the programme, culminating in a manuscript (thesis) suitable for publication.

Students undertake modules to the value of 540 credits.

The programme consists of ten compulsory modules (540 credits).

Year one consists of four compulsory modules (180 credits). Year two consists of three compulsory modules (180 credits). Year three consists of two compulsory modules (120 credits) and a dissertation (60 credits).

Upon successful completion of 540 credits, you will be awarded a MClinDent in Periodontology.
