The PhD in History aims to teach the ancient history of the peoples, the history of the Arabs before Islam, the history of the Arab-Islamic civilization and the history of the contemporary world, and the specialization teaches subjects that show the history of human experience from ancient times to the present time through its primary sources that were codified in those eras. The Department of History seeks to be a major center for   learning in the field of history, and to be one of the distinguished departments of geography at the regional and global levels, and for the department’s graduates to be able to compete successfully with the graduates of the Department of History.
