The three-year MSc (Clin) Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics course is designed for dental practitioners who want to further their knowledge of prosthodontics up to specialist level. Students will develop skills in providing a range of procedures, including complex removable prostheses, implant-supported prostheses, integrated fixed and removable prostheses, and restoration of tooth wear using direct and indirect materials. Students will also gain an insight into clinical and technical skills, contemporary prosthodontic techniques, scientific understanding of fixed and removable prosthodontics, diagnosis and treatment planning and reflective prosthodontic practice. Students will undertake up to five clinical sessions per week where they will see, assess and treat patients. Students can undertake more extensive treatment plans with further experience in the broader area of restorative dentistry. Completion of this course will make graduates eligible to sit the MPros Royal College examination.
