The BSc Neuroscience with Industrial/Professional Experience course will enable students to gain experience of the workplace on a year-long placement during their degree. Students will examine how the brain and nervous system work to generate behaviour, perception, movement, thought, memory and other key functions. The course covers a range of topics, including biology, pharmacology, motor systems and more, with the opportunity to choose optional units in particular areas of interest. Students will spend their first year studying fundamental principles before going on to specialise in their second and final years. Students may undergo a placement with one of Manchester’s `trusted partner' organisations in the UK or abroad in Year 3.
