In response to an increasingly complex regulatory environment and ever-rising expectations of investors and stakeholders, the Master of Science in Corporate Governance and Compliance programme (Programme) provides specialised training and imparts practical knowledge to prepare directors (in particular, independent non-executive directors), company secretaries, and professionals in the related fields to strengthen sustainability and accountability of their organisations. This professionally recognized master degree can help our graduates undertake senior roles in their organisations, from management to boardroom. Foundational courses will be provided in the beginning to develop students a good understanding in business operations and environment. Courses of different aspects in corporate governance will follow to offer students an in-depth knowledge and relevant professional skills. Emerging themes, including risk management and compliance, will be emphasized to strengthen the professional role on a day-to- day basis as well as the leadership role at the governance level on a long-term basis. Graduates of the Programme are eligible to apply for full exemption from the examination requirements of The Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA) and The Hong Kong Institute of Chartered Secretaries (HKICS). Applicants who are interested in corporate governance of commercial (listed and non-listed), public, charitable, and non-governmental organisations are welcome.
